Keepin' It Cool at Kupz

Once again, I had another great visit with the customers and staff of a local East Haven business. This past weekend, it was the new Kupz Frozen Yogurt & Coffee in the Trolley Square Plaza downtown. And what better way to beat the summer heat than enjoying an iced coffee and cup of yogurt out on the shop's well-shaded outdoor patio! Thanks again to Rich and the entire Kupz crew! I'll be back again soon!

A big and hearty "Thank You" to the owners and staff of Goody's Hardware! I had a great time visiting with everyone at the store. And now, I can't wait to get a few things done around the sea floor when I get back home to my little piece of The Sound. Just call me: "Mr. Fix-It"

Poker, Bocce and Bingo

Well what a time I had with the staff and residents of the Village at Mariner's Point. They kept me so busy. I loved it. I was practicing my Bocce skills for Lobsterpalooza. I am going to try to stick with that and stay away from the Lobster Catapult....that just is wrong. Any way, thank you so much to everyone there at the Village. I felt very at home and we packed a lot of activities into one day. I am still wondering how I last at Poker??

Where am I?

I am a stuffed Lobster, wait don't get any crazy ideas. I meant to say Thank you to Tolli's Appizza for all the delicious food I got to eat. They treated me very well.

It was great to cool off at Polo Palo. Tony and Jose let me try so many gelatos! What a great variety of flavors they have. I didn't want to leave. Thank you so much for having me. I absolutely loved it.

What a night!

I was able to attend a East Haven Chamber Business after Hours at Silver Sands Beach Club. It was great to be around so many great people. I loved being back near the ocean. Thank you to all the wonderful business owners who took photos with me. Check out all the great photos.

I am on the move again. It's been so hot I decided I needed a break from the heat. I found a great place to enjoy a summer treat. So here is today's hint!

Awesome Weekend....I need a siesta!

Wow! What a busy weekend I had! I met so many people from all over at Bistro Mediterranean. Thank you so much to the other Leo in town for having me hang out at the bar. I ate so much incredible food and the mojitos were to die for. I better not say that too loud the chef kept giving me a look. Everyone was so good to me. GRACIAS!

I will be showing up again in town tomorrow. The Lobster Limo Ladies have a busy schedule for me. I will be at my next location at 10 am.

Claws are no good for driving!

Thank you to Dave McDermott Auto Group for helping me try to get some wheels. Sadly the test drive didn't go so well. I am sorry to the poor salesman that had to take me out. My claws were just every where. We didn't even get out of the parking lot. This may have been a good thing. Needless to say I got to see so many great cars and was around some awesome people!

I was very lucky to have the Chamber Lobster Limo Service pick me up to bring me to the next stop. Wow this place is busy!! I am a little worried though the guy in the white apron keeps looking at me funny. Should I be worried?

Leo is at his next stop!

A huge thank you to Tweed New Haven Airport for getting me into town. How convenient it is to have a local airport!! Loved it!The staff was great to me. I am glad I didn't have to go through security. Again, the claws are always an issue. I loved seeing people coming and going, to and from their vacations and business travels.

 Well, now I would like to explore more of East Haven. So I am off. Here is today's hint:

A note from Leo:

Hello East Haveners:

I am so excited about coming into town for Lobsterpalooza! I have been trying to find a way to get into town. My claws are the problem. You see I am 6 feet tall and it's very difficult to find means of transportation due to my size. There is hope though. I have received quite the offer to get me into town. I am going to wait until after the holiday for better travel. So get ready to be on the look out for me. I will let you know as soon as I get into town. Finding Leo - A letter from the Leo the Lobster Ambassadors

Welcome to the East Haven Chamber of Commerce BLOG!!! We have been asked to do this for a long time and this is the perfect time.

August 22nd at Amarante's we will be holding our 3rd Annual Lobsterpalooza! Last year we had a beautiful night and a huge turnout. It was the best event we have had. We hope to make this year's event even better. 

 We would like to introduce you to Leo the Lobster. Leo has been our mascot for the event for the past 2 years. This year we are promoting the “Finding Leo” campaign.

 Leo will be visiting different Chamber Member businesses around town. Your mission will be  to find Leo and Tweet or Facebook us photos of you with Leo when you find him at the different locations.Once you have found Leo please tweet, facebook or Instagram you and Leo with the hash tag #findingLeo so we can keep up with him and his whereabouts. He is a big ham and loves being photographed.  When he gets into town he will  be blogging, here about his experiences in East Haven and hinting where he will be heading next.  Leo is a rather tall lobster. Mark at Big Prints nursed him and has taken care of him to get him to a size of  6 feet tall.  So he should be easy to find at the businesses and East Haven landmarks.  

Check back here to see hints to where he will be next. He will be making his way from Maine to East Haven soon and we will make sure to let you know when he gets here.
